Legally Compliant Labeling of AI Content – New Transparency Requirements and Liability Risks Stuttgart Digitalization Forum

The use of artificial intelligence has now become part of everyday work at many companies. Companies use artificial intelligence in marketing, customer service, and in the creation or editing of text, images, or videos. As a result of the AI Act, new transparency and labeling requirements for certain AI-generated or AI-manipulated content will take effect in August. Companies must therefore determine whether—and, above all, how—such content must be labeled. Violations of the new requirements can give rise not only to significant reputational risks but also to liability risks. At the same time, the requirements are often not readily met when using standard AI models, which makes proper implementation difficult.

As part of the Digitalization Forum on July 15, 2026, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Dr. Gerrit Hötzel and Marius Adler will provide an overview of the new labeling requirements under the AI Act and the associated liability risks. The presentation will focus in particular on which specific content is affected by the transparency requirements, what requirements apply to labeling, and which organizational measures are recommended for legally compliant implementation. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to exchange experiences regarding practical strategies for identifying compliance risks early on and effectively minimizing them when using generative AI.

The event will take place online and is free of charge. Registration is now open via the following link: [HYPERLINK]
